Rehema Kabare is a graduate construction manager, with experience in the execution of inclusive and environmentally-conscious urban projects in the wake of climate change challenges. She is an early career researcher exploring the feasibility of using mass engineered timber as a sustainable construction material that contributes to net-zero African cities.

She has completed an MSc in Construction Engineering Management at the University of East London, UK and holds a BSc in Construction Management from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She is keen to intersect her academic and practical experience to drive sustainable urban development. She holds several awards of academic excellence and recognitions for her achievements as a young professional in the built environment.

She serves on the Board of Women in Real Estate (WIRE Kenya), an organization that focuses on advancing the work by women professionals in the built environment, where she is curious about addressing the problems women and girls face in African cities.

Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, she has 14 years of experience as a classical violinist and plays with the Nairobi Orchestra in Kenya.
