Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) is a leading not-for-profit organisation in India that works on creating awareness about energy efficiency (EE) as a resource. As an energy efficiency market enabler, it advocates for data-driven and evidence-based EE policies and research. 

AEEE’s mission is “to be a leader in responsible use of energy to transition to a climate resilient and energy secure future”. The Alliance has defined its missions as fostering a culture of energy efficiency in India, enabling energy transition, and accelerating impact as a policy enabler.

GBPN has partnered with AEEE to  support sustainable building policy development, adoption and implementation in India, with an emphasis on supporting local and state government entities. Partnership activities include: 

• A digital platform to promote the adoption of Energy Conservation Building Code for Affordable Housing in several municipalities of the state of Gujarat (under development) 
• Research and a practical report to facilitate the adoption of Eco-Niwas Samhita for enhancing thermal comfort and energy efficiency in affordable housing projects in Ahmedabad
• Webinar and Report Launch: Facilitating Eco-Niwas Samhita Implementation in Affordable Housing
