Our human building footprint is expanding faster than ever before. By 2050 there will be 280 billion m2 more buildings than today, primarily in Asia.
That’s why our work is focused on India, Indonesia and China — because this is where we can have the biggest impact.
Collectively, India, Indonesia and S.E. Asian countries are already among the largest sources of buildings sector greenhouse emissions. By supporting these countries to adopt more sustainable building practices, we have an unprecedented opportunity to reduce emissions on a massive scale over the coming decades.
