Totok Sulistiyanto is the director of PT Narama Mandiri. Green Building and Energy Audit are among his core expertise and he has been running an energy consultancy for more than 20 years. His expertise areas include energy efficiency and sustainable development in buildings and industry. He is devoted to and passionate about the concept of designing and planning that emphasizes system integration in all building construction disciplines in order to make the building achieve the goal of high performance building and Net Zero Emission.
Totok is one of the core-founders of GBC Indonesia and has been one of its board members ever since. For over three decades, he contributed to many national and international initiatives such as the ASEAN energy management scheme, the Indonesian energy conservation and efficiency society (MASKEEI), the Association of Indonesian Engineers (PII), American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers Inc. (ASHRAE), Indonesian Association of Building Technical Appraisers (HIPTI).
His career highlights include reviewing the state-of-the-art standards for Energy efficiency in buildings in Indonesia and ASEAN countries; developing the code of practice for energy efficient design; contributing to energy efficient and green financing schemes; Assessing Electric Power Quality and Electromagnetic Interference; conducting an energy audit and demonstration project for Energy Saving Technology in The Department of National Education; and, preparing the Indonesia Clean Energy Development – USAID.
He graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 1994 and continued his education in Australia to obtain a Master of Engineering Science from the Department of Engineering of the University of Melbourne in 1994.
