Dr. Saket Sarraf
Principal at ps Collective
Dr. Saket Sarraf founded ps Collective in 2006 and has been its Principal since then. ps Collective is a collaborative platform for advocacy, research, policy analysis, and consultancy that works on issues related to sustainable and inclusive development.
Dr. Sarraf has over 20 years of experience working across India, the US, and the UAE. His current work focuses on community engagement, policy analysis, modelling, and decision support systems.
In academia, Dr. Sarraf is affiliated with the faculties of Planning, Design, and Technology at the CEPT University (Ahmedabad, India since 2010). In addition to teaching there, he served as the Doctoral Program Coordinator, Director of Library Services, and Member of the Editorial Board of CEPT University Press. He is an advisor at Moinee Foundation (since 2012), and an External Member of the Departmental Research Committee at the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal (since 2018). He has also taught at the American University of Sharjah as a visiting Professor and served on the Board of Studies at the Nitte Institute of Architecture, Nitte University (2015-2020). He worked as a guest scientist for a brief period at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA, and as a researcher at the Regional Economic Application Lab (REAL), Urbana Champaign, USA.
Dr. Sarraf has a PhD in Regional Planning and a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where he received the ‘Outstanding PhD award’. He also has a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is currently based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
